Eastwood Village Community Centre, Rotherham – Refurbishment (006366)

The project aims to improve a neglected community building in the heart of Eastwood in Rotherham, the improvements will enable the building to be used on a daily basis.

The applicants currently run a community cafe once a week from the community building, but want to expand on this and use the building to help more community groups and to offer activities within the building such as exercise/dance classes, photography, reading, crafts, ecology and health related mattes, afternoon teas and a wider range of community use.

The refurbishment will create a warm welcoming environment for the whole community to enjoy and the applicants will be able offer a more diverse range of activities for the whole of the community bringing the community together and reducing isolation.
