Eatock Lodge Conservation Rangers

The project aims to start and develop a volunteer group on Eastock Lodge Local Nature Reserve in Westhoughton. The volunteers will work on the site for one Saturday a month, from September 2008 through to March 2009. Tasks will depend on the outcome of a public consultation, but will be along the lines of habitat management, access work and improving visual aspects of the site. It will empower local people to improve their local environment, and leave them with skills and knowledge to continue improving it for people and wildlife.
