ECO Project Completion

Since 2011 the Club has taken active steps to reduce its energy bills and carbon footprint, key actions were to replace oil with air to air heating, install 39 solar arrays, install insulation in ceilings, replace old window with double glazed units. Success can be measured in a 50% reduction in energy bills and Feed in Tariff payments from solar arrays (though this is put aside to pay for the installation cost of the arrays). The Biffa grant will allow the Club to address the remaining issues by completing the replacement of old emergency exits and windows with double glazed units, replacing a suspended ceiling and removing grills and ducts associated with the oil based heating and modernising the light with zoned Led based energy efficient units.
