Eco-renovated Regency Rendezvous

The project aims to renovate our Regency building, providing a resource centre, and as a demonstration to the public of environmentally friendly refurbishment.
Although the ground floor and basement are used as a Fair Trade shop and Cyber Cafe (this operation pays rent to the charity for this purpose), major structural work is necessary to restore the building and allow the upper storeys to be used to the full, including a complete overhaul of the roof, elevations and drainage.

The resource centre will facilitate contacts between different cultures by being a space for language classes and internet dialogue, as well as being a meeting space.

It is also hoped to demonstrate state of the art environmental features by installing renewable energy technologies, rainwater harvesting and a high standard of insulation.
