Effects of Restoration/Capping Strategy on Landfill Gas Attenuation: Field Determination

Desk review and field experiments on current/former landfills, providing a range of cap permeabilities, gas permeable membranes, and no landfill cap. Each plot to be sub-divided to provide sub-plots with and without vegetation. Monitoring will include permanent recording instruments and intermittent, focussing on landfill gas dilution and the bioconversion of methane to carbon dioxide.
