Effects of Restoration/Capping Strategy on rainfall infiltration into landfill sites: Field determination

Field investigation involving experimental plots set up on a completed landfill with a range of cap permeabilities and restoration soil depths. Plots to be supplied with irrigation system to enable control of water inputs and rainfall event simulation. Moisture content monitoring will enable relationship between rainfall, capping/restoration strategy and leachate generation to be quantified.
