Ellesmere Park, Sheffield – New Playground (007624)

This new playground located in the centre of the park will draw and attract local people into using their local greenspace. The aims of the project are too;
1) Encourage people to access the greenspace who may not have previously accessed it.
2) Increase opportunities for children to play & for people/families to be active.
3) Improved mental wellbeing for users.
4) Increased accessibility, the items selected will support use by disabled users.
5) Social cohesion, users connecting with each other in a safe environment.
5) Reduced travel for users who currently have to travel* to other areas to access this
provision.
6) Reduction in anti-social behaviour as footfall increases in the park.
