Renovation of current community kitchen facilities to improve the experience of current site users and enable the provision of new and extended opportunities to members of the local community and perspective site users. The funding will renovate and modernise the main kitchen in our community facility located in the heart of Leigh Park, Havant. The current kitchen has been ‘cobbled’ together over the years using what was available. The flooring has not been replaced since before 2014 and is in a state of disrepair. This renovation will improve the experience of current site users, including the onsite pre-school, as well as making future community projects more achievable. The vision is to see the building be a hive of activity in the area, seven days a week, supporting those who live on the estate. The building is also available for hire to the public. These improvements will benefit the surrounding community by promoting community cohesion, reducing isolation and helping meet basic needs. Projects will be free of charge to access, removing barriers caused by financial restrictions.
