ENERGY CONSERVATION AT BREAM COMMUNITY CENTRE

Bream Community Centre is located in the former C of E boys and girls school in Bream. The building was designed by church architects and built in stone in the Gothic style in 1862. Although thie building is in good decorative order, heat losses are exceptionally high due to no insulation. The ceiling follows the roof line and high Gothic arched windows extend into the roof line on gable ends. Window are single glazed. The centre has 3 letting rooms and is used daily. The purpose of the project is to reduce the crippling fuel bill and conserve energy.
