Energy Efficiency & access Project

To utilise our solar panels more efficiently by installing LED lighting, an EMMA control linked to the PV system with buffer hot water storage. To improve our insulation in floor and ceiling, install secondary double glazing where required. Put radiator thermostats on to reduce heating/hot water costs. Install a water harvesting system to reduce water bills. By doing this we hope to reduce the overall running costs of the Centre which are increasing year by year.
To improve access to our upstairs activity rooms by creating a new corridor and so allow independent access to main areas without then disturbing other users. We already have a lift installed which enables all users full access throughout the building. This will also mean we can increase our potential space to hire out for community activities.
