energy reduction drive

The aim of the project is to make the building more energy efficient, therefore reducing energy cost on both heating and lighting. We suffer from been a hard water area so we would like to replace the old inefficient boiler with an ‘A’ rated boiler, hot water tank, replace radiators and add new radiators including new pipework to rooms which currently have no heat at all and fit a water softener and magnaclean clean on return pipework. We will fit zone valves and install a remote thermostat (the remote thermostat will give great control of the heating system) and chemical power-flush the whole system prior to commissioning the new system. We would update the Light fittings as per current regulations and replace all our old fluorescent tubes and bulbs to Led lighting and install light sensor to reduce the problems of lights been left on when rooms are not in use. Replacing and improving the heating and lighting will reduce overall energy costs and provide a warmer and welcoming Centre.
