Enhancement of Farndon Willow Holt

The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust will carry out a number of improvements to Farndon Willow Holt nature reserve to enhance its value for people and wildlife. The works to be included are the installation of a grazing infrastructure to allow for the sustainable management of the rare wet grassland on site, hedge laying, tree safety work, maintenance of ponds, installation of pedestrian gates and the removal of the alien species Himalayan Balsam.
We will be working closely with volunteers from the local community to establish the new access routes and provide training for volunteers in conservation management techniques.
