Enhancements to the Children’s Play Area

The key objectives for the project are two fold
1. To modify an item of play equipment to make it suitable for Special needs children to use as well as able bodied. The existing item of equiment is the ‘Toddlerzone’.
2. To provide an item of play equipment that will be of a more challenging nature for the older children and young teens. This will be a combination of Space – frame and Space- net with an attached chuts.
The KGV land was gifted to by the village and Fife Council which maintains and looks after the facilities on behalf of the village. The provision of this equipment will enable families to be more inclusive and energetic whilst using the equipment in the KGV playing fields.
In addition a new robust timber picnic table adjacent to the modified Toddlezone will be provided for parents and families to use whilst supervising their younger children at play and a seating area for older children and younger teens will be provided adjacent to the Space – net.
