Enhancing Hilton's Highlights

Hilton Gravel Pits is a well visited and easily accessible wetland nature reserve. To improve facilities, and provide an enhanced visitor experience, this project includes: • the provision of two new bird viewing screens of railway sleeper construction. • building a new boardwalk to access a pond dipping platform. The platform is widely used by adults and children and provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the aquatic species present • producing and installing an interpretation panel at the dipping platform.
