Enhancing Thorpe Marshes

Thorpe Marshes is Norfolk Wildlife Trusts only urban nature reserve and was established following restoration of gravel workings which transformed the site into a 25ha mixed site of grazing marshes, a 6.5ha water body and areas of scrub. The biodiversity elements of this project focus on the restoration of the original grazing marshes and associated network of ditches, fine tuning the site restoration to further improve the broad area for biodiversity and biodiversity monitoring surveys to target habitat management.
