Enriching Kennington Park

Trees for Cities will work with local people in Kennington on the planting of a variety of woodland-themed bulbs, shrubs and perennials to enhance the amenity value of a garden area in Kennington Park, Lambeth. The woodland theme will complement the mature trees already growing at the site. Other than these trees the garden area is bare with little growing. This, in the view of local residents and park users, reduces the amenity value of the garden and the historic building it surrounds. Planting will be carried out by local people at a Fun Community Planting Event.
