Ensuring Safe, Clean, Hygienic Facilities for visitors at Surrey Docks Farm

To ensure visitors' safety & confidence in visiting when the Farm re-opens after lockdown: 1. We must increase & upgrade our outdoor washing facilities in such a way that 2 meter distancing can be preserved as long as social distancing requirements last, taps can be operated without being handled & the facilities are kept clear of pigeon droppings. So 4 knee-operated wash troughs with canopy covers are to be purchased & installed. 2. In our Segal building which houses both our classroom for our daily training programmes with adults with learning disability & our café, we need to entirely renovate, upgrade & repaint (i) our single disability washroom with new toilet, grab rails, handwashing & baby changing facilities & (ii) the adjoining room with a new toilet & washbasin - so that hygiene & cleaning standards can be maintained at all times & surfaces are easy to keep clean and disinfected. Both toilet rooms have passed their shelf-life.
