Environmental Education Project

This project seeks to provide a comprehensive Environmental Education Programme to the community which will be based at Wat Tyler Country Park. The project will cover a wide variety of issues and build upon work already carried out at the Country Park. In particular, the programme will be comprehensive in its approach and will deal with issues such as:-

1. History of Country Park including previous military activity of the site as an ammunitions storage facility
2. Agricultural usage of land
3. Environmental importance of area including adjacent SSSI land
5. Water transport issues
6. Nature issues including involvement of RSPB
7. Recycling of land use

It is intended that local schools and the general community will also benefit from this project in terms of education whilst at the same time promoting various issues in respect of the improvement and protection of the environment.
