Environmental Improvements at Barkbooth Lot Nature Reserve

The aim of the project is to undertake management tasks in order to conserve, enhance and protect the species and habitat for biodiversity on the Barkbooth Lot Nature Reserve and improve public access and understanding.
Improvement works to the reserve that will be undertaken include:
1. Wall and fencing repair,
2. Install bird boxes,
3. Install a water gate,
4. Installing kissing gates,
5. Install a timber sluice on the small tarn to prevent drainage
6. Footpath repair,
7. Direction posts,
8. Design of interpretation panels to enhance the experience and information provided for local residents and visitors,
9. Interpretation leaflet and supplement to the Nature Reserve Guide.
