Environmental Improvements at New Haw Lock, New Haw, Surrey

The project involves undertaking a number of environmental improvements at New Haw Lock, revitalising a currently neglected parcel of land and improving public access for the many who visit.

Work will include clearance of the wooded area, pruning of overgrown shrubs, creation of a pond in the naturally wet area and provision of benches and additional litter bins. Design costs for the landscaping scheme are included within the project.

The area is freely available to the general public at all times and is extensively visitied by both users of the canal and the tow path.
