Environmental Upgrade at Coleraine Bowling Club

The present floodlighting system has become less efficient and requires more maintenance and works due to its age. The metal halide bulbs have become much more expensive and difficult to source. Owing to the sharp increase in energy costs, the club is having to seriously consider restricting the number of hours the floodlights can be used which will affect out ability to continue to recruit new members. Opening hours to the general public would be restricted and the ability to play match bowl tournaments would be hampered.

With the alternative LED lighting system, we will be in a much better position to immediately accommodate persons from across the community, including those with disabilities and charitable groups who have a desire to avail of our club facilities in the evening times. This would encourage greater use of the facilities and hopefully encourage new members from across the community.
