Ephemeral Ponds of Radnorshire – Conservation, Inventory & Habitat Works

The Ephemeral Ponds of Radnorshire are a rare UK habitat designated as a priority by both Wales and the UK. They contain BAP/Wildlife & Countryside Act Species such as Great Crested newt, Pillwort and Fairy Shrimp. This project will first locate and describe for conservation purposes all these ponds, then, with appropriate permissions create, restore or enhance some of these ponds to enhance biodiversity and create interconnectivity between ponds. Finally management plans and conservation guidelines will be produced for interested parties.
