Eric Hendrie: Access and Amenity Impovements

This is a large park that consists of short mown grass and mature / over mature trees. SPRING a local community group commissioned a landscape architect to draw up plans for the park. SPRING has been granted charitable status and is seeking to lease the park from Aberdeen City Council to enable it to source external funding. The group has approached Aberdeen Greenspace to ask for funding to implement part of the plan for the park. A new play area was built in the partk and some of the paths have been upgraded.
The project involves the upgrading of 100 metres of severely eroded path, the creation of 40 metres of new path creating access to Gadie Crescent (this will allow wheelchair access to play area) and native tree planting.
