Essex Wildlife Trust – Gunners Park, Shoebury, Maintenance & Improvements

Essex Wildlife Trust is taking over the management of the 25 ha Gunners Park from Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. The project will provide on-going maintenace of i) the 6.5 ha SSSI site consisting of unimprovrd grassland, gorse and blackthorn and ii) 18.5 ha of open access unimproved grassland. Interpretation panels will provide visitors with important information about the history and wildlife of the park and picnic tables and chairs will enhance the visitor ex[perience.
