Provision of visitor centre at Warren Gorge Nature Reserve Chafford Hundred – Public access
Chafford Hundred Nature Park interpretation at a cost of £50,000. The proposed facilities will considerably improve the enjoyment of visitors to the nature reserve.
The Wildlife Trust Gateway Garden at a cost of £6,500. The Government proposes a substantial house-building program in the Southeast and the Borough of Thurrock could see an additional 30,000 new homes, which are expected to be quite high density with small city type gardens. The proposed areas for these developments is currently open countryside, therefore there is a real chance of a loss of wildlife habitats.
The creation of this wildlife garden will be first exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show in containerised form and it will then be moved to its permanent home at the Chafford Hundred Nature Reserve.
