Everton Park, Liverpool – Park Improvements (50110/D)

The project aims is for the existing, derelict benches in this part of the park be removed. Four of these will not be replaced, because they are poorly located, so the grass surfacing will be made good. The other eight benches will be replaced, and one additional bench installed. A macadam base, flush to the path surfacing, will be laid for each new bench. The litter bin in the car parking area will be replaced. Eight bollards and 4m of knee rail will be installed to prevent vehicles from driving along the path. Existing lighting columns will be repainted. Signage at the start of the walk (the entrance to the park) will be relocated a short distance to be clearer and less vulnerable to vandalism. Some thinning of the woodland will be carried out for habitat management and to make the path safer and lighter. Planting and litter picking will be carried out with local volunteers.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the park improvements.
