Evesham Abbey Cloister Garden

Evesham Abbey Cloister Garden site sits within the ambitious Lottery-funded Evesham Abbey restoration scheme run by Evesham Abbey Trust (EAT). Within the Abbey remains EAT is developing a set of interpretive gardens offering free public access to this scheduled ancient monument. This LCF funded Project focusses on the Cloister Garden and will fund the erection of archways to reflect the original cloister arch which still stands in place. The arches will provide support for climbing plants and this inclusive garden will use under-planting of herbs and scented plants for the benefit of the visually impaired. The cloister archway walk will enclose a lawned area with cruciform walkways to a central sculptural feature. The creation of wheelchair friendly pathways and entry point is an essential part of the design allowing easy access to this area for quiet relaxation and contemplation.
