Evington Village Outdoor Play

This project aims to provide fun, varied, high quality play experiences in a naturalistic setting that will challenge young people in the 8-14 age group. There is already equipment on the site suitable for 0-7 year olds. This addition would make the site more user friendly for families. Also it continues with the process of reclaiming the centre of the village (Village Green) for the recreational use of families and young people. There is good evidence to support the fact that good play facilities help to reduce crime, help build a safer community and discourage anti-social behaviour.

We are providing equipment with a low environmental impact (use of bark, recyclable and long lasting materials.)

We are improving the environment with more trees and better landscaping.
