Exeter Street Hall, Brighton – Refurbishment (OO5103)

The project will improve accessibility to the Hall, making it a truly inclusive community space:
An accessible toilet, and a proper access ramp, will mean access for all, which cannot currently be offered.
The new corridor will allow the Main Hall space and the newly refurbished Community Room to be used independently of each other. Some smaller groups, such as Tea Club, can move from the Main Hall to the Community Room. They will be able to hear each other better in the smaller space, which would enrich the quality of social contact at this and similar groups.
Using both spaces at once will mean more activities can be offered at the Hall.
The corridor will include a lobby, improving energy efficiency, security and sound insulation.
The toilet will be water-efficient and properly insulated and the current damp problems fixed.
