Explore Aberdeen: Bridge at Murtle, River Dee

Aberdeen Greenspace is currently working along the River Dee (Explore Aberdeen: River Dee Path Improvements 242122.062. This path has been classified as Core Path 70 and is a well used and popular path along an attractive route. At present the route has a set of stepping stones over a drainage ditch. However at high river levels the path is blocked by the drainage ditch which backs up during high river flow preventing the use of this section of path. The proposal is to put in a six metre long wooden bridge to allow access in all but the highest river flows.
