Exploring Lower Wood, Ashwellthorpe – Visitor Access Improvements

This project will provide new and improved visitor and volunteer access and infrastructure at NWT’s Lower Wood, Ashwellthorpe (SSSI).

It will create a new car park, access track and pedestrian path to the woodland entrance. New fencing, gates and native hedgerow will be installed to provide site safety and security, and culverts replaced to keep pathways dry and safe. New signage and interpretation materials will be produced. The project will include the installation of a new, secure, on-site equipment store for volunteers’ tools and equipment.
