Exterior Painting and Waterproofing St Geraldines High Church

The exterior walls of the church were roughcast-rendered 30 years ago and have not received any treatment since. The roughcast is sound but is badly weathered, mouldy and stained and becoming porous due to lack of paint cover. The external woodwork is flaking and bare in many places, also the rainwater goods. The ingress of damp is affecting the stonework around the doors and windows and there are leaks around the buttress at the north side of the tower. Urgent repainting and waterproofing is required to stop further deterioration of this 106 year old building.
