Fairfield Skate Park Project

High Peak Borough Council is working in partnership with a local community group to build a new modern state of the art concrete skate facility in Fairfield on an existing recreation ground, owned and managed by the local authority. The skate park will be open and accessible to the public at all times and will be appropriate to all levels of ability. Currently there are very limited traditional play facilties at this area, which have low play value and the current play provision only caters for the age range 0-10 years. This is a much needed project in the local area and will become a well used active community facility for all ages to learn new skills, socialize and promote a healthy lifestyle at the same time. As well as very limited play equipment there are no other good quality recreational facilities for children and young people in this area of the estate.
