Fairlands Open Space Development

Fairlands Open Space is a local community area located in the London Borough of Haringey.

Currently the space is predominantly open grass with uneven pathways, grass mounds and overgrown shrubs. There is a lack of furniture especially bins and benches and the children’s play area is derelict, both in terms of equipment and surfacing.
Based on an intensive community consultation Groundwork’s landscape architects came up with a designs and costing including improved access and circulation, a new children’s play area and Activity Zone for older children, a Focal Events Space and Picnic Area and enhanced wildlife
