Feasibility on the Wandle

A feasibility study of the river Wandle Phase 1. Identify the existing species present in the immediate area at King George’s Park to ensure that they would not be compromised by the improvement of habitats for water voles. The study would identify small mammals, invertebrates, amphibians and birds that are using the stretch of the riverbank and to assess any in-channel biodiversity interest. Proposals to restore the river to provide suitable habitat for water voles will follow such a study.
