Ferndown Play Scheme

Ferndown was designated an LNR in 200. In partnership with Stafford Borough Council’s Biodiversity Officer, we have created a series of wildflower meadows, wetland areas and a heritage orchard for the benefit of wildlife and the local community.
2013 we received Green Apple Award.
The play area is 30+ years old consisting of 4 items.
Needs updating. Questionnaire with local community determined 98% agreed.
Borough Council not interested but Parish Council will help with ongoing maintenance, insurance, upkeep, etc.
New play area will be in keeping with the Nature Reserve, improve the area for visitors and encourage a community hub.
