Fields of Vision (Elland)

In 2014, Tour de France comes to Yorkshire. For the first time a Cultural Festival will run alongside the event. The 14 week festival will: create a global showcase for the best artistic talent; draw communities and artists together with millions experiencing innovative and ambitious world class work; leave a permanent aesthetic legacy for local communities. Once of the 47 projects is ‘Fields in Vision’, field based land art works on Pennine hillsides along the route. The most dramatic will be a huge work at Elland on a par with some of the most notable in the UK. This will be a major landscape character intervention visible across a whole valley.
