Projects / Fife Conservation Grazing Project

Fife Conservation Grazing Project

The aim of the project is to improve the biodiversity of three key grassland sites in Fife through a carefully targetted conservation grazing programme combined with mowing and cutting as required.

It is recognised that unimproved grasslands are among the most threatened of wildlife habitats throughout Britain. Conservation grazing has been shown to have a positive impact in terms of improving biodiversity, with grazed sites improving significantly in habitat value.
