Projects / Fife Mining Museum – Community Garden

Fife Mining Museum – Community Garden

The garden will be mining-themed with a pathway made from railway sleepers, laid close together as if it were a railway track for coal wagons. There will be decking for tables and chairs and at the top of the garden a mock coal lift, quarter size, incorporated into the decking for nostalgia. The bank area will be made to look like a rock/coal face. The garden pathway will be wide and smooth enough (stone slabs) for wheel-chair access.

The garden will try to draw on the idea of a coal-mining site in the 1900s.
