Finding Foxley – Accessing Norfolk’s Ancient Woodland

Foxley Wood is Norfolk’s largest ancient woodland. Due to wet weather, the condition of the paths has deteriorated. As a result, visitors leave the pathways, causing damage, impacting visitor enjoyment and access for those less able. This project will install hard paths and gates and improvements to layout and safety of car parks will provide better access to the path system. New culverts will clear water from paths, maintaining better conditions and improving safety. New way mark posts, a covered orientation station and interpretation panels will be installed, enabling NWT to hold educational activities for children and adults.
