Fingask and White Loch Recovery Project

The problem aims to tackle water quality problems in two lochs. The lochs are of considerable conservation interest and support a notable range of UKBAP priority species. Over recent years the lochs have suffered a decline in water quality, this has resulted in an increased incidence of algal blooms, principally caused increased nutrient levels, particularly in the form of phosphate.
