Improved kitchen and toilet facilities to the ground floor will be more user friendly and having a kitchen and toilets installed on the 1st floor enables the applicant to extend projects and activities supporting more people in a wider variety of activities.

Since the building was converted from a public house in 2008 to 2017 the applicants have occupied only the ground floor but services have grown and they now provide many projects supporting over 5500 people in 2017.

Having a kitchen on the first floor will enable them to have a youth cafe with computer terminals for people to use e.g job clubs, ICT courses. The lift will enable disabled and elderly people to access activities on the first floor thus widening participation. Health & well-being suite on the 1st floor will be used in conjunction with the kitchen incorporating healthy eating sessions.

Having both kitchens will enhance the rental potential of 2 community rooms they can hire out for weddings, meetings etc providing sustainability
