Fitting Out of New Premises at The Link, The Archway Project Limited, Thamesmead

This is a project to fund furniture and equipment to furnish The Archway Project’s new premises, which will be located in ‘The Link’ in Thamesmead. The Archway Project is a charity, established in 1982, to address the lack of facilities available for young people in the area. The new premises will be leased from Trust Thamesmead and provide the project with four times the square footage of their current premises. When the new premises are fully fitted out it will enable the charity to double its capacity, providing at risk young people from local deprived areas with worthwhile recreational activity, training and education. Young people attending the service are statistically much less likely to have negative contact with police, and much more likely to enter education, training or employment. The Archway Project needs to purchase and install all furniture and equipment for ‘The Link’, including its motorcycle maintenance, cookery, IT and social areas. This is the subject of this application.
