Five Ways Community Project: Investing in a Brighter Future for Lower Gornal

This project is for the creation of a new community resource centre at the heart of a neglected neighbourhood by converting the redundant ‘General Stores’ shop at Five Ways, Lower Gornal, into a hub of activity, support and advice for local people of all ages.The new facilities will incorporate a café and servery, IT suite, meeting point, consulting/counselling room, staff meeting/training area and rooms for hire. It will provide a youth-friendly base for expanding existing youth activities in the locality and support the educational and personal development of young people through after school learning support, homework club, and job related skills sessions.
