This is a project to improve play provision at Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park. Works are: Phase 1 is the main play platform. Phase 2 is the supply and installation of bespoke natural play equipment, glacial boulders, log stepping stones, play hut, tepees, log poles, mud kitchen, and swing frame. The project aims to provide an adventure play area that comprises safe, inclusive, natural bespoke and sustainable provision. Visitors and local people have stated they would like to see play provision for younger children, and this new area will introduce people to activities on offer whilst reinforcing a “must-go” local destination. The Country Park is situated on the former site of Normanby Brickworks, adjacent to an urban area where several communities fall within the 10% nationally most deprived.
