Fleetwood Rugby Club - Clubhouse Development

Development/reconfiguration of the clubhouse at Fleetwood Rugby Club. The project will redevelop an unused space inside the building, opening it up to create new social spaces and recreation areas. Internal building works will include: removal of internal walls, re-purposing of storage rooms, new partition walls, redirecting drainage, installation of doors and windows, plastering, finishing and decorating. In addition the rear of the clubhouse will be opened up to maximise use by: installing lintels, bi-fold doors, an exterior canopy and refurbishing the patio area.

The improvement works are intended to address current critical barriers to growth, inclusivity, and safety, in order to attract new players and other community users of the facility. It will enable extended training hours, the hosting of competitive fixtures, a summer programme of events, and will significantly improve facilities for women, and disabled participants. This project will secure the future of the club as a vibrant, sustainable hub for the community in one of the most socio-economically deprived areas of the country.
