Flourishing Forth Eco Project

Forth community group , fully constituted, have leased a piece of derelict land for 12 years , located in the village from South Lanarkshire Council.The project is designed to stimulate environmental education in the local community and through this improve the environment.To be achieved by erecting a poly tunnel and by using renewable energy sources to heat and light the project.Funding is being sought to employ a Horticultural Development Worker from the New Lottery. This person would run a learning programme to suit all ages of the community to be provided in the local halls. including sowing and growing plants, composting,etc. Levenseat are being asked to support the errection of the poly tunnel and the renewable energy equipment.This project will be open to all the community in Forth and the surrounding area on a free basis.Output will be used to decorate local community in the form of hanging basketsand tubs.
