Flowering for Life

The Flowering for Life project aims to increase biodiversity and grazing quality across a 90 hectare project area. Following detailed survey to identify the ecological baseline, we will reinstate traditional management practices, such as gutter creation and rotational ditch clearing, to combat rush encroachment and provide a diversity of microhabitats in which plants and invertebrates, including a wealth of BAP species such as greater water parsnip can thrive. Traditional techniques will be complemented by modern techniques such as weed wiping where necessary.
