Fords Park Road Community Garden, London - Revitalisation (008366)

This project outlines the creation of a sustainable, inclusive garden space at the emerging Fords Park Road Community centre. The proposed garden space is to be transformed to bring community members together, promote environmental stewardship and provide the community with access to fresh, locally grown produce. The garden was cleared with the help of Newham Council in Spring 2025 and has had some initial improvements, but needs much more work to create a space that is safe and welcoming to visitors and volunteers.

E16 Community Land Trust are delivering this project in partnership with London Borough of Newham, the People's Empowerment Alliance of Custom House and our recently hired part-time gardener. This is part of E16 CLT's long-term strategy to bring local assets including open spaces, community facilities and housing into community ownership. Located in an area of high deprivation, this project will bring much needed facilities and wellbeing support to those who need it most."
