Foreshore clean-up and maintenance at Helensburgh

The foreshore at Helensburgh is heavily contaminated with flotsam and jetsam and acts as an entrapment area for waste arisings from the Firth of Clyde.
Working in partnership with local voluntary groups and the Local Authority, the project plans to utilise the Company resources and expertise to tackle this problem in a professional way. Initially this would require the use of our own heavy equipment to clear years of accumulated shoreline waste and would take around 12 months of regular visits to achieve. A following 12 month maintenance period may be required to keep the area clear as residual waste continues to gather. When the waste is under control, volunteer groups will take up the foreshore maintenance with funding for the removal of collected material, in year 3 coming from the project
